2025 key highlights from Dreamin In Color

Prolocity was proud to attend the Dreamin’ in Color Conference this year — and it left a lasting impression.

This unique Salesforce community event is dedicated to diversity in tech and creating space for deeper connection, representation, and innovation. What stood out most to us wasn’t the technology itself — it was the people behind it. People quietly doing powerful work to improve their communities and push the boundaries of what’s possible with Salesforce.

From nonprofit tech innovation to AI-powered wellness tools, here are just a few moments that inspired us:

At one session, we heard from a developer who launched an intuitive volunteer management tool designed specifically for nonprofits. It was originally pitched at last year’s Dreamin’ in Color and is now making its way to the Salesforce AppExchange. What made it especially exciting? It was built before Salesforce launched its own volunteer solution, showing the kind of foresight and community awareness that fuels grassroots innovation. This same individual is also building an AI-powered data migration tool that makes it easier for nonprofits to transition into the new Nonprofit Cloud — a huge need in today’s evolving CRM landscape.

North Carolina holds a special place in my heart as the location of my college years, where I was first introduced to the amazing Salesforce community. Over the years, I've seen a growing number of talented individuals from the African and Latin diasporas. Meeting many of these exceptional people in person allowed me to hear their stories and witness the incredible ways they leverage the Salesforce platform. I was truly impressed by the level of excellence by the organizers and their team. Their vision and determination for creating a positive atmosphere were truly inspiring.

Another highlight came from a team that developed an AI-powered health dashboard that syncs with wearable devices like Apple Watch and Fitbit. What began as a personal health journey turned into a movement, helping faith-based and community organizations use their own data to support holistic wellness. With over 100 pounds lost between the founders, they’re now empowering others to take charge of their health through technology and community.

One of the most meaningful moments for our team came during a lunch panel focused on mental health, service, and inclusion. The speakers shared openly about how they use their tech careers not just to innovate, but to protect space for others, build community, and advocate for representation in rooms that haven’t always been inclusive. It was a powerful reminder that technology is most impactful when it reflects the people it’s meant to serve.

What stood out wasn’t flashy or loud. It was the people, especially the ones doing important work without needing attention for it. It reminded me how much it matters to really notice each other. To name people’s strengths, to stay connected, to keep showing up in spaces where representation matters, and to lift others along the way.

As a Salesforce consulting partner focused on nonprofits, we left Dreamin’ in Color with fresh inspiration — not just about what’s possible with the platform, but about the kind of ecosystem we want to help shape: one that uplifts, includes, and empowers everyone.

Thank you to Tiffany Spencer and all the incredible volunteers, speakers, and community leaders who made this year’s conference so impactful. Prolocity is grateful to be part of this movement, and we’re already looking forward to Dreamin’ in Color 2026.
