The Challenge

Prolocity partnered with Heaven’s Family to implement a scalable, customized Salesforce environment built on Salesforce’s Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). The implementation was tailored to meet the unique operational needs of a ministry managing recurring sponsorships, designated giving, and multi-program impact tracking.
Key components of the solution included:
- Donation & Sponsorship Management: Customized Opportunity record types, automation, and custom objects were configured to manage one-time gifts, recurring child sponsorships, and designated donations to “pressing needs” campaigns.
- Program Allocation Tracking: Implemented General Accounting Units (GAUs) and GAU allocations to accurately map donations to specific ministries or needs.
- Program Management Tools: Created custom objects for managing ministries, child sponsorship profiles, and pressing needs, including metadata for tracking fulfillment and impact.
- Data Migration & Field Mapping: Collaborated with staff to clean and import legacy data across Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities, and program records.
- Reports & Dashboards: Delivered targeted reports and dashboards for tracking donor activity, recurring gift performance, funding fulfillment, and program visibility.
- Staff Training & Support: Provided end-user training and Salesforce admin enablement, along with post-launch support to ensure long-term success.
