New Marketing Cloud Growth – What You Need to Know

Salesforce recently announced the release of the newest Marketing Cloud product - Marketing Cloud Growth Edition. This exciting new offering is the first edition of Marketing Cloud built on the Salesforce platform (known as Einstein 1). This tool allows marketers to build multi-channel Campaigns using Data Cloud for segmentation, while never leaving Salesforce, allowing for more connected and personalized journeys.

There’s a lot to be excited about with this new tool. Marketing Cloud Growth includes a drag-and-drop email builder, landing page builder, journey builder using Salesforce flow, and a form builder all with AI out of the box.

Experience Cloud users will recognize Form Builder, which uses Salesforce CMS

Einstein AI is front and center.

While features like Einstein Insights and Einstein Send Time Optimization are familiar and very powerful, we’re really excited about Einstein Co-Create. Einstein Co-Create lets you create campaign assets from a Generative AI prompt, such as emails and landing pages.

Einstein AI

Creating your audience is often one of the most complicated and time-consuming tasks.  Einstein Co-Create steps in again, and offers a couple of ways to simplify this task. You can allow Einstein to suggest an audience segment for you, based on the prompt used to generate your content.  You also can generate your own segment using natural language. Of course, if you prefer to do it yourself, you can use the Segmentation Canvas to build a segment.

Once the campaign assets and audience are created, you can review the outputs and provide feedback to Einstein. Upvote the items you like, downvote the outputs you don’t like, and make the necessary revisions directly to the generated assets or audiences.

How to get started with Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud

It’s becoming a lot easier for small businesses and non-profits to get started with Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud. Marketing Cloud Growth Edition not only simplifies the initial configuration but also simplifies the day-to-day tasks for marketers, allowing them to focus on understanding and communicating with their audiences.

With Marketing Cloud Growth Edition being built on the ‘Einstein 1’ platform, integration with Salesforce CRM and Data Cloud has been streamlined and simplified. What previously took several hours of work, toggling between multiple Setup interfaces, can now be done in a matter of minutes in a single interface.

What You Need to Know

You don’t need to work in Marketing Cloud Engagement for very long to see how different the interface is. The name “Salesforce” is just about where the similarities end. That all changes with Marketing Cloud Growth Edition.
Marketing Cloud Growth Edition is built on the ‘Einstein 1’ platform, and shares the familiar interface that you may have become accustomed to in Salesforce Lightning. Additionally, you will start to see familiar Marketing Cloud features being rebuilt to use similar Core Salesforce CRM features.

  • Marketing campaigns will fully utilize the Campaign object in Salesforce CRM
  • Multi-step, multi-channel journeys will be built in Flow Builder. Guardrails will be put in place, as these will be created as non-Admin flows.
  • Forms and Landing Pages will be created using the Salesforce CMS (just like Experience Cloud), and will feature more robust integration with data in Salesforce CRM and Data Cloud.
